It’s not everyday you debate about Satanism

I was having a debate about Satanism and here is what one member wrote:

“Anyway, if you’re talking about LaVeyan Satanist, I really have no problem. I was one myself for about a year. All you need is a quick Google search to look up some key beliefs.

An important one is that Satan is not a deity or a being in their practice. Satan is the anti-thesis to Jesus. Instead of being always kind, always loving, etc, Satanist believe that some people are worthy of these things and some are not. For example, why show kindness to someone who rapes and kills children? To the Christian, it’s because you’re supposed to love your enemies. To the Satanist, this makes no sense and the criminal is only deserving of punishment and hatred.”

What are your thoughts???

Can a man believe in God but not the bible, heaven or hell??

I was monitoring another debate where a man is a believer of God but not the bible, heaven or hell. He argues that there is no such thing as Satan:

“Now we have more idiocy with people exacting a period of time for this extraction from an imaginary Heaven. How would God give a spirit a glorified position in Heaven if He know all things? Wouldn’t God have know that this creature He created wasn’t worth the time or effort to be in existence.

Now in as much as a spirit falling from the sky on to the surface of the Earth and being banished from Heaven what sense does it make? If God created this creature why would He allow it to exist? It seem to me if He is going to send sinners to Hell, then why didn’t He just send Him to the pits of Hell? Now this creature is going to live from the time He was sent here until this so-called Tribulation. Of which hasn’t come to past in all the centuries that this nonsense was written in the Bible.

Now there is a so-called bottomless pit and after that a Hell fire. Now I need to know where this so-called Hell exist. Why would God waste His time letting someone stay on fire for all eternity. It would just be simpler to destroy their spirit as opposed to letting them live for all eternity getting use to the pain of burning in some pit of fire.”

Thoughts????????

Heavenly Question

If loving a complete stranger is awkward, how awkward will heaven be?

Treasure

I dug in the sand to find my treasure
Regardless of my optimism there was none.
So I planted a seed in the hole I dug
Hoping to grow out my sorrows which shun.
The tree grew in time
And hope was not depraved.
My rewards was not treasures of Gold or mire
But a bible within the shade.

Are Christians Falling Away?

Messenger Says:

If I’m saying that I believe something, or if its all a lie, wouldn’t I say ‘Now hang on ya’ll! OK, OK, OK!! It was all just a joke! We were all kidding about that Jesus fellow!”

Wouldn’t I throw in the towel to save my life? NO ONE in their right mind is going to go to death – a brutal and painful death – over a joke. No one.

Not only the Disciples, and many apostles, but even the early Christians themselves. Why did they not throw in the towel but went to torture and death singing praises to God? Who does that when they are about to be thrown into a giant pot of boiling oil, or when a pride of half-starved lions are staring you down?

That just doesn’t happen.

So, to me, those saints of old were CONVINCED of the Deity of Jesus, and were willing to die a brutal and shameful death, even that of their own children.

Yet, us modern day Christian can hardly muster enough strength to tell our BOSS that we are Christian! Yet, our brethren of old, even in a primitive state of understanding, clearly had greater belief in the Deity of Jesus.

So, for the TRUE Christian, I wouldn’t say “closer”, but the overall claim of people who PROFESS to be Christians, is a falling away.

Astro Says:

I have to be reserved where your last sentence goes, aside from that there is a point on what you’ve raised to carry the thought a bit further. Yes, there were deaths for the testimony, horrible deaths,

“Bartholomew (skinned alive and beheaded)⿿Preached the Gospel in Mesopotamia (Iraq), Persia (Iran), Turkey, Armenia and India. He was skinned alive and beheaded at Derbent (Azerbaijan, near Russia) on the Caspian Sea by order of a local king after a majority of the people of Derbent converted to Christianity. Some of Bartholomew⿿s skin and bones are still kept in The Basilica of St. Bartholomew in Rome, a part of his skull is in Frankfurt, Germany and an arm is venerated at the Canterbury Cathedral in England.”

Thomas (impaled by a spear)⿿Called by most Christians as the ⿿Doubting Thomas⿝ for disbelieving the Lord⿿s Resurrection. But after his doubts were erased by touching Jesus⿿ wounds, he became a fearless preacher of the Gospel and builder of churches. He was the only Apostle who witnessed the Assumption of Mary and the one of the first Apostles who preached outside the boundaries of the vast Roman Empire (out of Europe). He preached in Babylon (present day Iraq) and established its first Christian church. Then he went to Persia (Iran) and travelled as far as China and India. He was martyred in Mylapore, India when a local king named Masdai condemned Thomas to death. The Apostle angered the Brahmins (high ranked priests/scholars who served as the king⿿s advisers) who thought Christianity disrespected India⿿s Caste System. Thomas was brought to a nearby mountain and was stabbed-to-death with a spear. He is believed to be buried around the suburb of Madras, in India.

Inked Pen Asks:

We are humbled and comforted by our surroundings to safely and vividly profess the confession of Christ. But how many of us would still do so under dire circumstances?
